Vivendi's $30 billion acquisition of Canadian-based Seagram was approved by European Union regulators Friday after the companies agreed to address pay-TV antitrust issues. Vivendi will sell its 20% piece of BskyB, Rupert Murdoch's British satellite pay-TV provider. Vivendi owns half of Canal Plus, Europe's largest pay-TV.
