Our News Division is looking for experienced TV professionals with a solid grasp of global affairs to fill the positions of Assistant Program Editor. Based in Doha, Qatar the Assistant Programme Editor will assist the editor of rolling 24 hours news. She/he will check and write scripts while exercising editorial judgement and adhering to Al Jazeera guidelines. She/he will be responsible for compiling running orders, producing graphic scripts in co-operation with the creative department and assigning production tasks to Output Producers.

Considerable practical experience of running news programmes at national or local TV level. Excellent ability to write and communicate clearly and succinctly in English is essential to perform this job. She/he should have ability to cope with stress and work under high pressure and have through knowledge of TV production and techniques and technology.
