VIDEO ENGINEER

We currently have an opening in our New York office for a Video Engineer. The Video Engineer will be responsible for all video content airing in a multi-channel broadcast environment. This includes managing the control, monitoring, and distribution of digital encoded video content and evaluating/troubleshooting the transmission of digital video signals.

 

Primary Responsibilities

- Oversee the video ingest, encoding and delivery to air of all Music Choice broadcast video content on multiple broadcast platforms. Ensure the 24/7 functionality of ingest, control rooms and edit suites. Establish and monitor editing procedures and the end-product delivery of Music Choice content in multiple formats.

- Ensure compliance with Music Choice product standards. Identify operational and design issues and recommend solutions to make systems more efficient. Perform detailed problem diagnosis, track and update problem.

- Support broadcast equipment chain. Support video operations with training related to video equipment use and their adjustments.

- Provide project management for video projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget, meet the deliverables of the project while following project plan guidelines

- Provide first tier technical support - requiring 24x7 response times. Qualifications -

 Thorough knowledge of DTV, HDTV television production systems and SD& HD video encoding

- Prior experience with SD and HD video asset encoding, metadata standards, media asset management and workflow systems

- 4-10 years experience working with digital broadcast chains

- Resource management skills in an area requiring tight deadlines and decision management to ensure product requirements were met

- Strong project management skills and ability to analyze and make process improvements.
