Broadcast Maintenance Engineer


NBC Universal is now hiring Broadcast Maintenance Engineer.


OVERVIEW:

The Maintenance Engineers are responsible for the technical operation, evaluation, repair and maintenance of all Golf Channel equipment and systems.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

•·         Evaluation and resolution of technical issues as they occur

•·         Evaluate analog and digital signals using in-house test equipment

•·         Perform required routing on Evertz, Sony and other digital routing systems

•·         Perform recordings on Analog or Digital recorders as needed

•·         Evaluate and correct if needed Analog or AES audio signals

•·         Perform routine system maintenance

•·         Perform system timing

•·         Perform Avid ProTools Control Surfaces, Euphonic Control Services, Digi Design Control Surfaces, Avid Inews hardware maintenance as required

•·         Perform Florical automation maintenance, and Front Porch Digital operations

•·         Provide play-out and data storage server maintenance and trouble shooting

•·         Maintain Sony Petasite and Samma robotic systems

•·         Maintain all required logs and fill out all required forms

•·         Operate the Transmission Console if needed. Perform all required recordings, perform all required audio and video routing, adjust Standards Converters

•·         Respond to engineering help tickets, pages and other client needs within the business as assigned

•·         All other duties and job responsibilities as assigned


The maintenance engineers are required to perform all maintenance and alignment in accordance with The Golf Channel technical standards as well as the technical limits as defined by EIA RS-170A guidelines including NTSC, ATSC and PAL system standards


QUALIFICATIONS:

•·         3-5 years experience in broadcast facility maintenance

•·         Associate's degree, vocational education in electronics or the equivalent work experience required

•·         Must possess good troubleshooting skills

•·         Ability to design small systems as well as perform bench maintenance

•·         Proficient with computers and office software

•·         Willing to work the overnight shift, weekends, holidays, and shift work

•·         Punctual, regular and consistent attendance

•·         Must possess a positive can-do attitude working well within a team concept
