WABC-TV, the ABC owned station in New York City, is seeking an Assistant Director of Engineering. This position will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day technical operations of a major market news and production facility that delivers high-quality content to a variety of platforms. Candidate must have an in-depth understanding of production and on-air operations including the mechanics of ingesting, moving content and the impact of multi-file formats. You will need to understand automation systems and the various technologies in a modern over-the-air TV station master control area. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must. The successful candidate will be a hands on problem solver and understand complex digital video and audio systems. Degree in technically related field or equivalent experience required.
