NBC's Todd: Bill Clinton ‘Woefully Unprepared for 21st Century Media’
By Marisa Guthrie
If there’s one thing that Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz.), Barack Obama (D-Ill.) and Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) all have in common, it’s that each of the presidential candidates has already endured his or her very own YouTube moment. UPFRONT & CENTER: Cable Flexes Its Muscles
By Anne Becker

That left cable networks -- about two-thirds of which have already presented their big stage shows to advertisers -- bullish.

COVER STORY: Measuring Engagement
By Robert Marich
The CW series One Tree Hill averaged just a 1.3 rating in adults 18-49 for the season to date, to rank 184th among primetime network series. But a funny thing happens to the teen drama’s value if ranked another way: It’s in a four-way tie for a lofty sixth place in IAG engagement.

By Anne Becker
Showtime chairman and CEO Matt Blank is busier than usual these days. His network was foisted into the spotlight April 20 when Sumner Redstone’s Viacom said it will launch its own premium-movie channel with films from its Paramount Pictures, as well as Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Lionsgate. The channel would stand in direct opposition to Redstone’s own Showtime Networks, owned by CBS.

This Campaign Bus Listens
By Marisa Guthrie
If Barack Obama's candidacy has motivated young voters to get involved in politics, few cable outlets are better positioned to ride the wave of Election '08 than staid old C-SPAN. The network, created by the cable industry in 1979, has developed a cult following by telecasting wall-to-wall sessions of Congress and the Senate.
