HBO Names Sue Naegle Head of Series Programming
By Anne Becker
HBO officially named Sue Naegle as its new president of HBO Entertainment Wednesday afternoon. Naegle, the former TV chief at United Talent Agency, replaces Carolyn Strauss as the premium cable network's top series-programming executive, a position Strauss left last month.

Report: Katie Couric, CBS News to Part Ways Before Contract Expires

CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric is likely to part ways with CBS News well before her contract with the network expires in 2011, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal. According to the report, Couric could leave as early as next year, following the presidential inauguration in January.

Scalia Remains Adamant Against Cameras During Court Proceedings

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia told an audience of Virginia high-schoolers Wednesday that he still opposes TV cameras in the Supreme Court because they would provided a distorted picture of the process. He didn't have anything nice to say about TV cameras in criminal trials, either.
