Verizon to Broadcast Its First Live NCAA Game

• A survey by WebsEdge, a provider of Internet TV services, found that 54% of 225 consumers surveyed in New York last fall were not familiar with the term "IPTV."

• Verizon received approval from the town of East Hills, N.Y., on Feb. 7 to offer residents FiOS TV service, making it the 95th New York community to have approved video franchises for the telco.
