Netflix Flips to LG for Set-Top Box

Netflix has dropped plans to sell its own Internet TV set-top, and instead will work with LG Electronics to develop a device to let subscribers of the DVD-by-mail service watch movies and other programming delivered via the Internet on their TVs.

Consolidated Sets Q1 IPTV Launch for Pittsburgh

Rural local exchange company Consolidated Communications Holdings said it plans a first-quarter launch for IPTV service in the areas served by North Pittsburgh Systems. Consolidated completed the previously announced acquisition of North Pittsburgh Systems for approximately $362.6 million on Dec. 31.
