My biggest laugh of the day came from the clip of WBKO Bowling Green weatherman Chris Allen doing either humorous or obscene things, depending on your sensibility, to a screen graphic of a woman’s breast. It’s a segment on breast milk donors, and Allen presumably didn’t think the tape was rolling. What I like best is the sheepish look on Allen’s face, like a boy who just got caught by his mom kissing the models in a Sears catalog.
Well, Chris, you DID get caught. Congrats, you’re a YouTube hero.
Wayne Martin, S.V.P. of parent Gray TV, says the clip is several years old and, while it was obviously caught on tape, never actually aired. He says it was the work of a former employee. "We know who did it and we know why they did it, and we’ll leave it at that," he says.
Martin called the prank "stupid and irresponsible," but said it was handled internally and Allen would continue to provide information to Bowling Green viewers.

I live in Brownsville Kentucky a little North 18mi. I have never met Chris but after seeing this shows me he is human like the rest of us. I don't know because I am not a news person but it seems to me with all the gloom they have to report at time one would need to (horse play, joke around) sometimes just to keep sane, I mean for all of you negative people get real you act like he literly fondeled someone. Give the human a break!!!!

Chris is human, it was a joke, and you know what? IT WAS FUNNY. This politically correct crap has gone too far. He was joking with crew members he knew well, he was not on the air. His actions do NOT warrant dismissal! Good Grief.

Give him a break. Chris has done a tremendous amount of good for this area of south central kentucky. It's a shame that this one silly incident can have this amount of impact. I'm a daily watcher of WBKO and have been for years. Chris has never been anything but professional. I just hate it for him, and hope that he will be back soon. I have never met him, but he just seems to be a down to earth person. So he was being silly-big deal. He harmed nobody but himself, and wouldnt have done that, had some jerk not posted the video. I hope that person gets it done to them sometime, because everyone has done things they are not particularly proud of.

I too live in Bowling Green and the man is one of the best you would ever want to meet. Haven't any of you Miss'a Johnson's ever picked and played around just to get away with funnin at someone? Give me a break, Chris is a good person and the biggest reason I see for someone to want to hurt him is his veiws and stand on all of this global warming propaganda that is going on out there. Just ask the big wig lady at the weather channel. If they fire Chris then they are making a big mistake.
Hey we are Kentuckians, we forgive and move on...........but I see no more here than just a funnin around with a fellow co worker.....................and someone he rubs the wrong way with his honest opinion about the weather.
Chris, if you read this, please don't leave us. You can still post and stay in touch with all of us out here who love you man. Don't you go and hide from anyone, stand tall right in their face and keep on doing what you do. We would miss your presense and all the good you do for others. I am from Bowling Green and know that Chris Allen has worked for WBKO for many years. He is a great guy, and would never mean to offend anyone. It's a small town, and a small news station (compared to the Nashville stations that are the next option)- The people are good natured and nearly untouched by the "outside world" (the Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, etc society that America has fallen to). It'd be a shame to see Chris leave.

I think any guy who is saying Chris should be punished is a hyppicrit. Get real. He did what every other guy would have done in that situation. If he had actually been on air he would not have done it.That's why so many like Chris. He is a real person. He doesn't try to put on an act. Noone did anything wrong except the guy who put it on the internet. He obviously was jealous of Chris and only set out to make him look bad. That kind of person we all can live without. If they did fire Chris I don't think a lot of people would ever watch wbko again. And as far as it being ofensive...get real...I just don't believe anyone could be scarred for life from something like that. I work for WBKO. This, in fact, did happen a few years ago. No, we do not have monitors showing what's going on in the studio all throughout the building. They are only located in the newsroom and master control room. Chris does a lot of volunteer community work, and this is not typical behavior for him. He was being agged on by fellow co-workers.
The concern is not so much that the guy taped it as that he felt the need to post it for the world to see.
If you worked at our station or really knew Chris personally, you would have different feelings toward firing him.

It makes me sick when hypicritical people like the one above say that Chris Allen shold be fired. That is completly ridiculous. Millions of other men and women across the nation would have done the same thing. He was just joking and I'm sure that the people in the imediate vacinity were laughing. The person that should be reprimanded is not only the person who put the video on youtube but also the person who decided that it was a good idea to see the tape. If anyone should be filing a law suit it should be Allen!

well, he should be fired for it. he knew other people around the station could see what was going on (if it's like most tv stations, there are monitors around the newsroom and building showing what's going on in the studio). he knew a large group of men and women could see this. for him to do this (regardless of whether it was taped or not) in front of 10-20 coworkers is offensive and it was probably typical of him. wbko probably doesn't have the best work environment. my guess is that this recording will be used eventually in a lawsuit against the station. wayne martin is an idiot if his concern is who taped chris allen doing this - a company with a good good management, a good hr dept., and good legal counsel would have fired him.

Well Just wanna clear up one part of that miss-leading statement. The clip was shot within the last few months because less than a year ago WBKO re-constructed their set, and when the shot in the video pans left and right you can see the NEW set in the framing. Also, the kicker comes when WBKO decided to censor the TMZ program on 9-14 to remove the section that replayed the clip. Allen made a mistake yes, but apparently they don't hold him to be a role model for people in the town by not punishing him for his rude actions.
Maybe WBKO needs to clear the air on what stories they tell!
