Murdoch and Station Sales

September 18, 2007

In between slagging CNBC, Facebook and Jordin Sparks, News Corp. chairman Rupert Murdoch reiterated his interest in offloading 9 Fox-owned stations at the Goldman Sachs conference in New York today. Murdoch mentioned the stations when asked which assets were atop his sell wish list. He acknowledged the ailing credit market and how that might drag down the sale price a few hundred million.

"If it goes beyond that," he said, "we’d probably keep them."

Interesting, 95 octane perotl is almost two times more expensive than 92 octane one.20 roubles = 0.8 USD, am I correct? It is about half of average european price, but still.. one would expect perotl to be much cheaper in Russia, the largest producer of crude oil in the world.By the way, the cheapest perotl I ever saw was in the United Arab Emirates, few years ago. Price was one American dollar for one _British_ gallon (which is 4.5 litres).

That's too bad that Mr. Murdoch doesn't see fit to allow his employees the chcane to enjoy the beautiful summer weather. From what I understand, Americans have the least amount of days off' in comparison to the other developed countries. I'm pretty sure that the French, the Dutch, the Swedes, and the Norwegians are near the top when it comes time to giving days off to their employees. With Love and Gratitude,The Intentional Sage
