Las Vegas Show
In one review of Marie’s opener at the MGM Grand this past weekend with brother, Donny, the writer said “…this is no chart newcomer – it’s veteran country singer Marie Osmond, who, at 48, clearly still has the X Factor that puts younger stars in the shade.” (The emphasis was added – by me)
Appearing in the Hollywood Theater at MGM Grand, Marie joined Donny for a week-long schedule of performances where they appear together for the first time in 25-years. This is on the heels of the Osmond Family world tour that concluded just three weeks ago. From here, Donnie and Marie will move to the Flamingo for a six month run.
This is a clear reminder, should we really need one, that Marie is first and foremost an Entertainer. And one, evidently, who really has the goods. That “X-factor” is that magical, unexplainable success quotient that is so rarely gifted to people and Marie has it. Bringing that star quality and immense talent to a daytime talk show is an exciting prospect, especially for viewers.
But of course Marie is more than an entertainer - she is, as I often describe her, “A Person in Full” (to borrow from Tom Wolfe). She continues to live an amazingly full life - parenting eight children, writing her latest book, performing on stage, sharing her experiences with women everywhere, selling her incredibly popular dolls and, of course, raising money for the charity dearest to her heart “The Children’s Miracle Network,” an organization that she founded with her mother 25 years ago.
As the summer unfolds I look forward to getting over to Las Vegas to see her performance. After all, like millions of other people, I grew up with her and seeing her on stage has warm and fuzzy written all over it.

My husband and I went to see the show at the Flamingo on May 22. This is one of the best shows I have seen! Donnie and Marie compliment each other, and they are very talented. Marie can dance better than ever, now that she has dancing with the stars experience. I loved her Opera song, and yes it brought tears to my eyes. She is a beautiful person inside and out. Donny still looks good, and it looks like he tries hard to keep up with little sister. =) Great Show. Thanks Donny and Marie for being who you are to all your fans.
P.S. Marie...My husband has a BIG crush on you. =)

My husband surprised me with tickets to see Donny and Marie at the Flamigo last week. The show was AMAZING. I cried like a baby at the end. It has always been my dream to see Donny perform live and Marie was outstanding. She sang an opera song and had most everyone in tears. I will be buying her new album for sure. This is a must see!

The show at the MGM was amazing... I can't begin to expain how much fun I had listening to her and donny sing. I have never laughed so much in my life. The best part was I was there with my grandma and after the show, I met Marie. She is the sweetest person alive, with a big heart on her shoulders.

The MGM show was so fun to watch. Marie will astound you with her ability to sing in any style (rock, pop, country, jazz, Broadway, opera...yes, opera!) and do it better than those pros who only have one style to offer. Go to the Flamingo web site and book your tickets now.
