Fly on the Wall – Still-Hot Grill, A Go-To Spot on Ventura and Brett Ratner Where All the Girls Know Him
* Studios, networks and agencies were well on their way to closing up entirely for the holidays last week but TV players were out lunching as late as Friday afternoon (12/19). The Shield star Michael Chiklis walked into the Grill on the Alley in Beverly Hills Friday apparently for a late lunch, according to one tipster who spotted him as they were leaving after 2 pm. Back in October, a Super Fly correspondent saw a bunch of execs at the Grill, despite the tanking economy. This place has some draw…
*On Tuesday (12/16), La Loggia, an Italian restaurant on Ventura that is walking distance from the Colfax gate at CBS’s Radford lot, is apparently becoming a go-to place for network brass. CBS’s Kelly Kahl, Chris Ender and Jen Bresnan were all there during lunchtime. So was country crooner and former Reba star Reba McEntire, as well as former Growing Pains star Alan Thicke. Producer Phil Gurin was there too.
* Meantime, last week I got a note from a new Super Fly correspondent, a publicist at a cable network who spotted producer-director Brett Ratner a few weeks ago at Joan’s on Third. “I told him his shirt was cute…it was,” our tipster wrote. “Also, all the girls working there knew him.”
