DIY, Boise and Mediacom
DIY Network has done it themselves…named a new Director of Programming. A welcome goes out to STEVEN LERNER who will report to ANDY SINGER, DIY’s head of Programming. Steven is going to be the go-to guy for all aspects of original commissioned productions and acquisitions. A former show runner for My
Big Redneck Wedding, Steven is a pro with 20 years doing a variety of shows, especially reality, for such nets as VH1, Nickelodeon, Lifetime, USA, FX and PBS. Very cool news.
Fisher’s Boise operation has a new Sports Director. Say hello to J BATES, who really knows the score when it comes to sports in Idaho (and I’m sure the entire planet…) He comes over from Boise’s KTIK, the ESPN radio affiliate where he was Sports Director for 10 years. J has also worked for the Utah Jazz as well as KVBC TV. According to News Director Yvonne Simons, he’ll be on the weekday casts. Good to hear, J.
MediaCom Communications looked to India to fill their Sr, VP/Call Customer Care and Financial Operations slot. Say hello to TAPAN DANDNAIK, a Certified Financial Analyst who holds sheepskin from the Australian Graduate School of Management in Sydney, Australia and another in Mechanical Engineering from L.D. College of Engineering in India. He’s been with MediaCom since 2005 – in the cable biz since 2000. Congrats!
