From London to LA
Just the title alone sparks excitement: Senior Vice President of Global Acquisitions and International Programming. Yeah, very sophisticated. And the winner of this newly created title is…envelope please…JULES BORKENT. The company is MTV Networks International, with Jules focusing on Nickelodeon. To do so, he’ll be shuttering down in London and flying across the pond to his new NYC office where he’ll report to both STEVE GRIEDER, SVP Nick Int’l and PETE DANIELSEN, EVP Programming, MTV Nets Kids & Family. Not a lot of other info on Jules, other than he’ll be a handsome addition to the NY social scene.
More news in the world of programming comes from ReelzChannel. They have tapped TONI MOLLE to be the VP, Content Development and Studio Relations for the movie cable channel. Of course it’s out of LA dears. Love Toni’s ‘climb up the ladder’ story: she began as a Production Assistant at KCAL 9, spent 8 years at KTLA Morning News, went on to be Editorial Manager for TV Guide Channel and was Director of Live News for E! Entertainment. Her alma mater, Loyola Marymount, no doubt is proud. Congrats!
VALERIE GREEN has a great new gig at Fuse, the music cable net out of NYC. Her new biz title is all about marketing. Click here for details.
