The Eye and the A

It’s the Eye and the A today. With a 6 Degrees of Kate Bacon twist. First off, CBS’s Boston operation, WBZ, has named KATE MERRILL anchor TV38 News at 9, starting tomorrow. She’ll continue to report as well. The Massachusetts native began her broadcast career in BeanTown as an intern at WCVB. After earning her degree in government and law at Lafayette College, Kate headed to upstate New York and reported at WICZ and WITV beore heading to Nashville’s WKRN. She then spent time at WNBC before getting back to beloved Boston. Congrats Kate!

Going digital is NANCY HAN, who has been named Executive Producer of ABC News NOW, the digital network at the Alphabet Web. PAUL SLAVIN, Senior Vice President, ABC News Digital is her boss. She gets the new assignment after being EP of ABC News’ Early Morning News Content, which included editorial content and production of “World News Now”, “America This Morning” and the newscasts on “GMA”. She once was Senior Executive Producer at WNBC in NYC, where she might have worked with the above mentioned Kate. Congrats to you as well, Nancy.
