Watson lands at 11 am on MSNBC
It wasn’t that long ago I was writing about Carlos Watson as the potential host of a daytime talk strip produced and distributed by Hearst-Argyle. Watson, an energetic entrepreneur, hosted a series of news-oriented specials called Conversations with Carlos Watson for Hearst-Argyle Television Group. Hearst-Argyle had hoped to roll out the strip this fall.
Then the economy tanked and Watson started popping up on MSNBC. He first filled in during the daytime hours in February and then was officially hired in March. Now 11 a.m. ET is all his, reports TVNewser.
He’ll be sandwiched in between Dylan Ratigan, formerly of CNBC, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. ET, and Dr. Nancy Snyderman at noon.
Watson also recently launched his personal Web site, The Stimulist. The site’s tag line is “The Optimist’s Daily Brief.” It’s impressive Watson finds anything to post there lately.

i saw that contessa will be at 2 with rotating anchors and tamron and david shuster at 3-5, but i did not see monica novotny??? norah odonnell is having more to do with today... I think andrea mitchal gots to go... the dr. nancy show will last only a few months, it will not work, dylan ratigan the end will be sooner than he thinks

Please do find out what plans are for Contessa, Tamron, Savannah, Monica, Norah, others are...They're all excellent, and seeing them reduced to just 2-5pm is a travesty. I like Carlos, but the rest of the moves Phil is making are terrible decisions. What is going on over there??

Who is hosting the rest of the day, assuming Andrea Mitchell, Tamron Hall and David Shuster? No, Contessa... my favorite?

This is a good question -- let me check on it and get back to you here

What is happening with the rest of the MSNBC staff... Contessa Brewer, Monica Novotny, Norah O'Donnell, etc. Getting new show or let Go?
