OCD: it's not for the faint of heart
The Great Facebook Time Suck, Day Two: Paige is wondering where the last 24 hours of her life went. But now she has 95 friends – including Usain Bolt! — and several handy little applications she did not have as recently as Tuesday. How much Paige’s life can change/be overtaken by an obsession in just a few short hours.
I’m not the only one who loves the Olympics: According to Brandweek.com, via THR: “NBCOlympics.com on MSN has set records for uniques, page views and streams. It attracts an average of more than 6 million users daily, who stay nearly 15 minutes per visit and spend 20 minutes when consuming video, according to NBC.” Is there an Olympics Facebook app? I may never sleep again.
The CW’s gotta be happy about this: After months of stories wondering about The CW’s fate, Joe Adalian has a story today that lets the world know that Warner Bros. and CBS back the net. “As we move forward into the new season, please know that CBS and Warner Bros., are dedicated to the CW. We stand squarely behind you, and are committed to doing what is necessary to ensure the success of the CW venture,” write Warner Bros.’ Barry Meyer and Bruce Rosenblum and CBS’ Leslie Moonves and Nancy Tellem in a letter delivered to the CW this morning. Long live Gossip Girl!
On a related note, TheWB.com goes live on Aug. 27 and sources tell me it will have a nifty little Facebook application so I’m all over that.
