Sanyo Turns to YouTube Stars

While television is the big winner in recent media intake studies and probably will be as well in the upcoming upfront, viral videos continue to draw increasing notice - and ad dollars.Sanyo has cut a deal with Madison Road Entertainment to integrate its new Dual Camera Xacti line into videos produced by a dozen of YouTube’s biggest names.

Web stars participating in the deal include AlphaCat, Lisa Nova, iJustine, Rhett & Link, Mr. Safety, Audrey Kitching, Brandon Hardesty and ApprenticeA.

Sanyo will back the promotion with a user-generated video contest at www.if.net/sanyo.
