Will 'Dog' Still Have Bite?
Dog the Bounty Hunter will return to A&E this summer, but will Dog be the same irascible customer that made the show one of A&E’s top-rated series?
Duane “Dog” Chapman (left) has been on a tour of contrition since being caught using racial slurs during a phone conversation with his son, who taped and distributed the offending recording.
Chapman, says Abbe Raven, president and CEO, A&E Television Networks, “has really embarked on a campaign of rehabilitation ever since the phone call and we really believe that he has changed. The show is about second chances.”
The fifth season of Dog bows July 16 at 9 p.m.
But will the new, nicer Dog still appeal to viewers who arguably watched the show to see Chapman bare his teeth?
“I think he’s still who he is.”

Wow this is a sad state of affairs, When your lawinforcement is completely inept and incompetent to arrest law breakers that our tax dollars pay their salaries, That we need some type of half ass circus clowns running around doing their jobs. It's pathetic

Dog's show never filmed him using any improper language anyway. Of course the appeal is still there. Dog will always have his bite.

The only thing that's sad Tommy boy, is that your dad didn't use a condom.
I guess it's only natural that losers and criminals don't like Duane "Dog" Chapman, and I'm sure you know which catagory you fall into.
Chapman does more for society in a single day than an oxygen thief like does in a lifetime!

Has America really come to this? Are we really hanging on whether or not this Cretan idiot buffoon actually gets good audience responses?
This is the same low-life who actually holds short prayers with his cohorts prior to each 'bust' saying on more than one occassion "...we're fighting crime for Jesus...".
Come on...give me a break here. Have we lowered ourselves to a societal level of degeneration, that looks upon people like this (not to mention his self-important group of family members) as appropriate role models we sit and watch?
Tour of contrition...please
This is so sad.
