30 for '60'?
I will be sad to see Studio 60 go when it goes on "hiatus" next week. There might not have been enough there there to sustain a show, but I'm not so sure. It was crisply and entertainingly written, as are all Aaron Sorkin projects.
NBC gave it a shot, picking up the back nine episodes back in December when it could have just pulled the plug, so I give it props for trying.
Studio 60 has now been benched for the Donnelly's with no return in sight. If I were NBC, I would wait until May and then the week after the last ER episode, run the rest of the Studio 60's there. I would do it for two reasons. One, it might find an audience it didn't find as a Heroes lead-out. Two, I want to see the rest of them.

I agree. Studio 60 is one of those shows that is slow in developing. I remember St Elswhere and Hill Street Blues that were slow in gaining an audience.
I hope the network sees the quality in the show and is able to develop a story.

I think if the show stuck with the formula they've used for the past seven episodes or so, the show would have found an audience.
While I loved west wing and sports night, Studio 60 was taking itself WAY too seriously early on. Also, while I care what the President, Vice President, or Chief of Staff think about a current political issue, I really couldn''''t care less what "the guys who make SNL" think.
I agree, perhaps the lead-in didn't work. Typically people who like Comic Books, don't particularly care for Sorkin's work. I like em both.
I watched and enjoyed Studio 60 simply because there is no television show on Television which has better writing, directing, or cinematography. Just look at the lighting for gods sake, that's enough to watch.
