You've Got To Be Kidding?
I guess not much was happening in the world Wednesday morning. I was listening to the news on radio at the top of the hour when the anchor gave me what I guess by their reckoning was one of the four or five most important pieces of information of the day.
They (whoever they now is) need to resolve the dispute over the disposition of Anna Nicole Smith's body, he said, "because it is decomposing at a faster rate than expected." I personally had no decomposition expectations other than it would happen, I suppose.
Then there was the lead cnn.com link on google's home page: "Smith's Mom: She Liked Downers." Thanks, Mom.
I know, a week or so ago I thought I had heard it all on the overcoverage of Anna Nicole front, but now I hope I have. The decomposition rate is now top of the electronic fold news? To quote John McEnroe: "You can't be serious?!!!" To paraphrase whoever that guy was at the Army-McCarthy Hearings: Have we no sense of decency?
