Great review Roth. I ejenyod it much better than last season's reviews. On first viewing, episode 1 was a bit disappointing for me, but on second viewing I found myself laughing more and enjoying it more. It was like an introductory paragraph in a story, with all the key players for the season being introduced. I thought the major changes, ie. King Bill and Lesbian Toni were feasible. At the end of S3 Bill and QSA fought it out and obviously Bill won that battle. No doubt we will find out what happened to QSA in a flashback. And does that mean that Bill is also King of Mississippi, because QSA and King Russell were married and Russell is now encased in cement and QSA is obviously missing. I also thought Tara/Toni's cage fighting was in line with her dilemmas in S3, in fact throughout the whole story. It was an outlet for the anger she had felt her whole life at her mother, then more recently Eggs, Maryann, Sam, Franklin, Jason, Andy and Bill. And I think having that outlet is the reason for her seeming to be a lot calmer this season. The lesbian thing, I'm not so sure about does our sexuality change at the drop of a hat? Andy the V addict; Jason the sensible one seems rather out of character. You said that Tommy must have had some kind of accident have you forgotten that Sam shot him at the end of S3? His becoming a Bible basher and joining forces with Maxine Fortenberry is a stroke of genius, it keeps the wonderful Mrs Fortenberry in the story and we all know that that's not the real Tommy, whose recklessness and vulnerability will surely surface again this season.
