something negative to man he just brehsus it off and keeps going.[] Reply:September 27th, 2010 at 10:42 pmBrittany, I often wonder that myself. Is it testosterone you know, the hormone that makes a really ugly old guy think the gorgeous 18 year old would really be interested in him that makes men so unselfconscious, or is it a societal thing? Men have walked in their right to be powerful for so many generations, perhaps that's encoded in their genes? We women are only now really stepping into our power. Did men take it from us, or did we give it to them? Another question to ponder All I know is that when we individually step into our own sense of self, things change around us []brittany bennett Reply:September 28th, 2010 at 6:37 pmHi Sandy, would like to ask you something about the behavior of the male in our species. Should we try to be more like them or should we be different? This question has puzzled me for some time. Do we allow men to do things because boys will be boys or do we hold them to a high standard.[]brittany bennett Reply:September 30th, 2010 at 9:17 amHi Sandy, just another thought on body image . Maybe you are right testosterone may make people less self conscious . The reason I say that is my next door neighbor has 15 year old son walked out of the shower in front of me today. Not a care in the world. I was visiting his mom and when I went to kitchen to get some ice cream and comes out swinging from shower to his room. lol. I would have thought at his age he would have been really self conscious ,but apparently not. Maybe guys just accept who they are much better than women. Our society doesn`t seem to judge men as harshly as women. They seem to get a free pass on lots of things. I had a little difficulty facing him later. I was embarassed for him as well as embarassed myself . Does this seem normal?[] Reply:October 1st, 2010 at 4:26 amHi Brittany oh that's a hoot! Boys are amazingly amusing (Probably not if you're the mother of one, but anyway ) The numbers are climbing on boys getting anorexia because they're worried about the way their bodies look, and not to minimise it, much smaller numbers than girls, like 1 in 100 compared to 10 in 100 for girls. Thanks for sharing that story
