Paula is most sensitive judge and she knows how to make the idols feel better She does not insult or hurt the idols feelings, She is the life of the show by standing up and dancing when the singers are on the show. I love her.

This is stupid. Paula is my favorite judge, and we just need to get rid of Kara. And Randy is the favorite?! What show have you been watching!?

You've got to be kidding! The new judge is a dork and half the time Randy talks jibberish. Without Paula that leaves Simon as the only interesting judge. And he by himself, is just not enough. Get real, get rid of whatshername, and get Paula back.

If it wasnt for paula and simon esp. simon the show would not be as interesting and funny and aiso enjoyable to watch. Kara needs to go back where she came from,Randy is ok but come up with something besides DAWG. fix paula's hair let her ride whereever she wants to on the plane , let simon do what ever he wants and ditch TIVO. they dont matter.

And who secretly conducted that biased pole? American Idol to justify Paula quitting? Randy is cool, but I don't believe for one second he is who draws the viewers. It is Paula and Simon's conflicts, plus sweet Paula balancing out Simon's crude and cutting comments. Wake up, American Idol!

What a smear campaign. We all love Paula and Simon. Randy isn't needed and Kara is a waste of my time, when I could be listening to Paula or Simon.Love their love hate relationship. If anyone is skipped it is Randy and Kara. Fire Kara and add her salary to Paula's.

It's about time Idol got smart and researched the Tivo. I fast forward through Paula consistently as I can't stand listening to her babble on saying nothing. Actually, I really like Kara and feel she gives good advice. Simon is pretty much right on. I just wish Randy would speak English. He gets a little carried away with the street lingo. Kudos to AI for getting rid of Paula. I'm looking forward to a season of outstanding judges and talent. Thank you!

Interesting..I find myself only listening to Simon because his comments are usually spot on (I do agree with him MOST of the time).Randy and Kara I tune out.Paula I LOVE her but she does tend to blabber on to much.

Not really a study on popularity, but it makes sense...People who Tivo and fastforward probably aren't that interested in Idol in the first place. They watch what Randy says only because he's first (to gauge the general reaction of the judges) and skip to Simon because...it's Simon. Losing Paula is probably sad to Idol fans but not to the casual viewer

That has got to be a load of crap. How about actually asking the viewers? Obviously, Simon's the most popular. People are tuning in to Kara to see what annoying thing she does next. No one can understand Randy yet alone even care about his opinion. And Paula brings the necessary heartfelt kindness. She may not be as popular as Simon but she's way more popular than Randy or Kara. Paula was the best judge..

Speak for yourself Claire Atkinson! I happen to LIKE Paula where she was the sweet (often kooky) side of the bunch with hardball Simon telling like it is (I like him as well). Then there's Randy, he's the guy who doesn't have much of a vocabulary only using the word "dawg" or yo yo yo man! Come on! What are we, 5? He should have been the one sacked! Now not only we have to deal with yo yo yo "Randy", now we have to deal with cold Kara. Gee this is going to turn out OH so well!

does idol really care about timeshifting viewers? I'd like to see the #'s regarding the percentage of people who timeshift within the voting hours and still get their votes in on time. Seems to me that idol would care most about the viewers who are watching live and will pick up the phone when the credits roll. Also, the fact that they found Randy to be the most popular automatically throw this "study" into the bull*hit category.
