The ‘Its Always Sunny’ Gang On The New Season, DVD

As I reported this morning, FX and Fox Home Entertainment are teaming up on a straight to DVD special of comedy Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The special will not only have a Christmas theme, but in a frightening decision will also feature Danny DeVito’s Frank Reynolds… naked. I caught up with the cast recently, where they spilled the beans on some plotlines we can expect from the upcoming season and DeVito’s thoughts on going the full monty.

Sharp eyed observers may spot series co-creator/co-star Rob McIlhenney, his wife and co-star Kaitlin Olsen and FX president and GM John Landgraf, in addition to Charlie Day and DeVito. One other word of warning, there is some uncouth language in the video, bleeped, but not for everyone.

In case you were wondering about the ridiculous nametags, the video was shot at The Cable Show in Washington DC earlier this month. Even Danny DeVito needs credentials.

Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia will begin production on the new season and the DVD in May, with a season premiere tentatively slated for September.
