Colbert’s Celebrity Signed Cast Heading To Ebay

Attention (Colbert) Nation: What do Brian Williams, Katie Couric, Bill O’Reilly, Mike Bloomberg, Nancy Pelosi, Tim Russert and Tony Snow all have in common? Yeah, they are all public figures of varying popularity… but each has also signed Stephen Colbert’s cast (below), which will be going up on Ebay after tonight’s Colbert Report.

As you may know by now, Stephen Colbert tragically broke his wrist on the set of the Colbert Report a few weeks ago. Well, when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade.

 After the mishap, Stephen created the “Wrist Strong” bracelet, to draw awareness to his broken wrist, and others like it. Along the way, he handed bracelets to such luminaries (and cast signers) as Katie Couric and Brian Williams, the results of which became known as “wristgate” (it’s complicated; Rachel Sklar has the full story over the Huffington Post).

Colbert fanatics, as well as ordinary folks, can check out colbertnation.com to buy their very own Wrist Strong bracelet, with all of the proceeds going to The Yellow Ribbon Fund, which assists injured service men and women recuperating at Walter Reed Medical Center.

 Just like the bracelets, all proceeds from the sale of Stephen’s (probably) sweaty, celeb laden cast will be going to the Yellow Ribbon Fund.

So if a used piece of medical memorabilia, signed by a number of political luminaries, news anchors and pundits sounds enticing, bid early and bid often. And hey, its for a good cause.
