It’s really slow today after yesterday’s big news that The WB is being resurrected as TheWB.com, but here are a few tidbits I’ve found interesting:

 Portfolio.com seems to have unearthed yet another attempt by Warner Bros. to start online what could end up as a TV show. People’s Court Raw, hosted by TMZ's ubiquitious Harvey Levin, would be the true people’s court: both parties to a dispute submit their side via user-generated video. Members of the People’s Court Raw site then decide who’s in the right. With so much democracy, who  needs Judge Judy?

Chances that we’re all going to watch our TV via the Internet are only improving with broadband only getting better, according to Wired.com. Future download speeds of up to 50 Mbps will allow for high-definition and even 3D video, which could keep us from ever channel-surfing our EPG again. This article also quotes someone named Crick Waters, co-founder of Ribbit. I just needed to point that out because funny names are endlessly amusing to me.

As reported by our sister publication, Multichannel News, National Geographic has relaunched its Web site with a cleaner look and more video. Same goes for Hollywood Reporter. True, HR is a competitor but I think they did a great job.
