If I was brave enough to check my 401Ks and IRAs, I'm sure I could say with authority that I am both a bit richer and a bit less anxious than I was yesterday. I do not possess that sort of courage, however, so instead I am easing my fears of economic Armageddon by amusing myself.
That's where the Sarahs come in.
First of all, the very intentionally and wickedly funny Tina Fey as unintentional comic Sarah Palin is God's gift to digital shorts, and that includes my previous favorites "D**k in a Box" and "I'm F**king Matt Damon" and anything on Stewart or Colbert. In fact, I'm sure even those two satirical deities are bowing down to Ms Fey a bit behind the scenes. Fey has pretty much cornered the market on comedy with SNL, 30 Rock and her movies and it's an impressive place to be in this otherwise highly unfunny world.
Meanwhile, Sarah Silverman has this offering on The Great Schlep.com, which to me was mildy amusing but no "I'm F&*king Matt Damon." (I seem to have to use a lot of asteriks in today's post). Still, I've got to hand it to Ms. Silverman: She remains an unapologetic equal opportunity offender while subversively taking a political stance.
