Vintage Programs to Join Current Hits on Fall Schedule

By Michael Malone -- Broadcasting & Cable, 5/2/2008 11:27:00 AM

New York -- ION Television shed light on its ambitious plans to offer flashier and more compelling programming at its upfront presentation at the New York Public Library Thursday night.

ION Television

Chairman and CEO Brandon Burgess unveiled the network's new slogan, “Positively Entertaining,” as Boston Legal star and B&C Hall of Famer William Shatner and Australian singer Delta Goodrem entertained the ad community assembled in the library.

“ION Television’s expanded content and positioning can be summarized in two words: ‘Positively Entertaining!,’” Burgess said. “The shows we have lined up to deliver on that promise -- Boston Legal, ER, The Dead Zone, Ghost Whisperer and Criminal Minds -- will positively do just that, bringing large and loyal audiences to ION Television in 2008 and 2009.”

ION also announced that RHI Entertainment will deliver 12 original movies over the course of 2008-09 for weekend airing.

Vintage programs Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper and M*A*S*H will join the likes of The Dead Zone and Ghost Whisperer on the fall schedule.
