National Association of Broadcasters Announces Participants for Panel Discussion, Breakfast

The National Association of Broadcasters announced a panel discussion tackling the digital-TV transition and a breakfast highlighting mobile-TV opportunities for local broadcasters at its 2008 NAB Show in Las Vegas April 14-17.
The DTV panel will feature Raycom Media president and CEO Paul McTear, Time Warner Cable president Glenn Britt, Comcast Cable Communications West-division president Brad Dusto, Advance/Newhouse Communications chairman and CEO Robert Miron and National Cable & Telecommunications Association president and CEO Kyle McSlarrow. Former Federal Communications Commission chairman Richard Wiley will moderate the discussion.
The breakfast, sponsored by the Open Mobile Video Coalition, will be emceed by NBC News chief legal correspondent and Verdict! host Dan Abrams and will feature talks by Media General senior vice president Jon Conschafter and Cox Communications VP of engineering Sterling Davis.
A question-and-answer session featuring NAB Television Board chairman Alan Frank and board members Michael Fiorile, John Eck and Lynn Beall, as well as WFLD Chicago VP and general manager Patrick Mullen and Sinclair Broadcast Group VP of new technology Nat Ostroff, will follow the presentations.
