By Alex Weprin -- Broadcasting & Cable, 2/25/2008 7:33:00 PM

NBC Agency promoted a number of executives in the wake of former president Vince Manze’s promotion to president of NBC Creative Services.

John-David Currey

John-David Currey, formerly vice president of drama and reality promotion, will become senior VP of on-air promotion.

Larry Hart, formerly VP of electronic publicity promotion, will become senior VP of content production and distribution.

Ron Hayes, formerly VP and creative director for special projects, will become senior VP and creative director for special projects in the agency’s on-air-promotions department.

“The ongoing challenges to the broadcast-television business model create new opportunities in the areas of promotion and marketing, and we are restructuring to ensure that we can fully integrate and realize the potential of our talented executives,” said Jim Vescera, executive VP of on-air advertising, West Coast, in a statement. “John-David, Larry and Ron each have the proven experience and ability to maximize our efforts in their respective areas and, working together, will keep the NBC Agency at the top of its game and as the industry's leader.”

NBC Agency is also bringing aboard Lorenzo de Guttadauro as VP of brand strategy. He had been VP of brand creative and promotion for USA Network.

Sylvia Hart, who had been VP of daytime and movie promotion, will now be VP of marketing initiatives for NBC on-air promotion.

Additionally, Dave Doré will be promoted to VP of special projects for the agency and will serve as creative director for Sunday Night Football.
