Vin Di Bona Teams Up with DAVE Networks on Reality.tv

Web Site to Combine Social-Networking, Reality-TV Elements

By John Eggerton -- Broadcasting & Cable, 1/28/2008 8:13:00 PM

Reality TV pioneer Vin Di Bona's Hollywood Licensing and social networker DAVE Networks created Reality.tv, which will combine social-networking and reality-TV elements.

Reality.tv

In addition to showcasing user-created content, the site is offering itself as a showcase for established and would-be reality-show producers.

Di Bona created the America's Funniest Home Videos franchise and is looking to establish a new online franchise in Reality.tv.

In addition to hosting viewers' submissions, the site will ask surfers to create videos in a host of categories -- as Di Bona does on the TV show -- including "Most Embarrassing Moments," "Video Diaries & Confessions," "Magic Cam," "Pet Circus," "I Do/I Don’t/I May Proposals," "Cirque du You!," "Practical Jokes & Pranks," "Complaints," "Do You Resemble Your Pet?" and "Street Stunts."
