KPIX Launches Blog Aggregator
Brittney Gilbert to Oversee Eye on Blogs

KPIX San Francisco will launch a blog aggregator Thursday afternoon, assembling the best of the Bay area’s blog posts.
Dubbed “Eye on Blogs,” the CBS-owned station has former WKRN Nashville, Tenn., blogger Brittney Gilbert overseeing the project.
Eye on Blogs will offer not only the highlights of the community blogosphere, but insights from Gilbert, as well.
KPIX director of Internet operations Jim Parker previously told B&C: “If the concept can drive traffic in Nashville, which has a much smaller blogger community, it can certainly work here.” The hope is to bring users to cbs5.com who might not ordinarily visit a station Web site.
Gilbert formerly ran the “Nashville Is Talking” blog aggregator at WKRN and joined KPIX in November. She publishes personal blog Sparkwood & 21.
