Belo Shuffles Management Prior to Split
Decherd to Head A.H. Belo Newspaper Division; Shive to Run Belo

Current Belo chairman and CEO Robert W. Decherd is assuming the chairman/president/CEO role of A.H. Belo, the company’s newspaper division, upon completion of Belo’s division of its television and print properties.
Decherd will also serve as nonexecutive chairman of Belo, which holds the company’s TV stations. Current chief operating officer Dunia Shive will inherit the Belo president/CEO title.
The split is scheduled to complete in the first quarter of 2007.
James M. Moroney III and Donald F. Cass Jr. will become executive vice presidents of A. H. Belo. Moroney will focus on newspapers and Cass on the Internet business.
Belo owns 20 TV stations, six cable-news networks and a host of daily newspapers including The Dallas Morning News and The Providence Journal.
