By Jon Hemingway -- Broadcasting & Cable, 10/19/2007 2:52:00 PM

Charter Communications, the nation’s fourth-largest cable operator, reached an agreement with the National Hockey League to carry its game package.

NHL Center Ice

NHL Center Ice is now available to Charter customers through In Demand. NHL Center Ice is a pay-per-view package that provides up to 40 out-of-market hockey games per week, as well as select games from the first two rounds of the NHL playoffs.

"Charter is pleased to once again bring all of the NHL action available on NHL Center Ice to our customers,” senior vice president of corporate development Greg Rigdon said in a statement. “Charter values sports programming and is committed to delivering the best content available to our customers."
