Michael Couper, VP of business development, Sony Pictures Television, has been promoted to senior VP of strategic operations and mobile advertising.

Cable

William Hamm, executive VP of television, Ghost House Pictures, has joined Starz Media as executive VP of creative development.

Jennifer Huckaby has been named account executive for GOScout Autos at Cox Media.

CJ Olivares, assistant general manager, Fuel TV, has been promoted to general manager.

Leigh Primack, director of affiliate sales and marketing, Si TV, has joined GSN as executive director of distribution.

Eric Brown, president of western division operations, Charter Communications, has joined The Africa Channel as executive VP of affiliate sales.

Programming

Dirk Hoogstra, VP of development, TLC, joins The History Channel as VP of development and programming. Also joining The History Channel: Charles Nordlander, VP of program development, Food Network, joins as VP of development and programming. Dolores Gavin, director of programming, has been promoted to VP of development and programming.

DJ Mecca, programming coordinator for urban programming at Music Choice, has been promoted to programming manager.

Lisa Summers Haas, director of communications at The Insider, has been promoted to VP of communications for The Insider and Entertainment Tonight.

Fred Nelson, VP of digital media, Entertainment Weekly, has joined The Peoples Choice Awards as president.

Stephen Shelanski, senior VP of programming, Starz Entertainment, has been promoted to executive VP of programming.

Journalism

Iva Zoric, producer, The Charlie Rose Show, has been named senior producer for the BBC America Nightly News show. Also at the Nightly News: Claudia Milne, Washington producer, Newsnight, joins the broadcast as senior broadcast producer. Nicky Goldberg, senior broadcast journalist, BBC World News, joins the broadcast as senior broadcast producer. Also, Sarah Robbins, producer, Newsnight, joins the program as senior producer for planning. Meghan Gourley, White House independent pool coordinator, C-Span, joins as associate producer. Brian Gottlieb, producer, The News Hour With Jim Lehrer, joins as a producer. Kathryn Farrell, producer, Channel One Network, joins the broadcast as a producer. Bob Sharpe, director, BBC News, has joined the program as lead director. Marc Adams, broadcast associate, CBS News Radio, has joined the program as a broadcast associate.

Technology

Fred Singer, senior VP and COO, AOL Studios, has been named CEO of Anystream.

Brad Winters, director of business development, Gametrailers.com, has been promoted to general manager and named VP, MTVN Entertainment Group.

Gloria Martin Rush, executive administrator to Comcast Southern Division President John Ridall, has been promoted to public relations/marketing coordinator for the Comcast Southern Division.

David L. Laughlin, director of human capital management, the TriZetto Group, Inc., rejoins Starz Entertainment as director of human resources.

Timothy Russell, VP of sales and marketing, Turner Broadcasting, has joined the Tennis Channel as VP of advertising sales.

Todd Fedell, principal and creative director, Peloton Design, has joined The NBC Agency as VP of off-air advertising.
