Three AM-radio channels will be auctioned Dec. 10, the Federal Communications
Commission announced Tuesday.
Bidders are limited to entities that have already filed applications.
Permitted to vie for 1,100 kilohertz in Las Vegas at a minimum bid of $50,000 are
Kemp Communications, Lotus Broadcasting and Palmetto Radio Group Inc.
Also in Las Vegas, Alvin Lou Media Inc. and Powell Meredith Communications have
permission to compete for 1,590 KHz at an opening bid of $50,000.
Alpine Broadcasting Ltd. has been approved to bid against Richard Garcia and
Darren Cardova for 1,340 KHz in Taos, N.M., at a minimum bid of $2,500.
