Yahoo! Vet Joins Martha Stewart Omnimedia

Wenda Harris Millard, chief sales officer at Yahoo! since 2001, will join Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia MSLO) as president of media. In the newly created position, Millard will oversee the company’s various publishing, television and internet properties. She will report to Susan Lyne, president/CEO.
“Wenda has a unique combination of in-depth experience in businesses that are key to MSLO and our future growth. She is a seasoned manager and a brilliant marketer, with a track record of delivering strong results,” said Lyne in a statement.
Millard, who has been on MSLO’s board of directors for the past three years, will be charged with integrating and expanding the company’s media assets across platforms. She takes up her position July 16.
Before joining Yahoo!, Millard was chief internet officer at Ziff Davis and executive vice president and founder of doubleClick.
Her exit from Yahoo! comes in the midst of a major shakeup at the company that last week culminated with CEO Terry Semel stepping down to be replaced by Yahoo! co-founder Jerry Yang.
