NBC U Ups Two Executives

NBC Universal Television Studio promoted two veteran executives to SVP spots, it was announced by NBC U President Katherine Pope Monday.

Elisa Roth has been upped to Senior Vice President, Drama Programming. She will oversee development and current series creative affairs for the studio. She was previously VP, Drama, for NBC Universal Television Studio. She oversaw hits Heroes and Friday Night Lights, among others. Previous to Universal, Roth worked for David E. Kelley Productions where she served as director of creative affairs since 2001.

Vernon Sanders has moved to Senior Vice President, Comedy Series where he will be responsible for overseeing the studio's comedy development and current series line-up. 

Since June 2004, Sanders had been Vice President, Comedy Series, for NBC Universal Television Studio.  In his new position, he will be responsible for "30 Rock, among other projects. Sanders joined Universal from Nuance Productions, where he was Vice President of TV development from 1999-2002 for the Paul Reiser-run production company.
