Living It Up! Goes Up and Up

King World has cleared Living It Up! With Ali & Jack in 87% of the country, said Roger King, CEO of CBS Enterprises and King World. That includes stations in 29 of the top 30 markets and in 46 of the top 50 markets.

The program's executive producer, Bruce McKay, has assembled a staff of Emmy-award winning producers from shows such as The Oprah Winfrey Show, Rosie O'Donnell, Live With Regis and Kelly, The View and Today. McKay has been executive producer on Judge Mathis, The Late Show Starring Joan Rivers, and The Late, Late Show With Tom Snyder.

The staff includes supervising producer Rob Dauber, who joins Living It Up! after working on NBC's new reality show, The Restaurant. Prior to that, Dauber was with Rosie O'Donnell, as were new senior producer Mimi Pizzi, producer Liza Persky, producer Suzanne Bass, producer Deborah Damato and talent producer Jeffry Culbreth. Producer Kim McCabe formerly was with Oprah, producer David Derosa was with Live With Regis and Kelly and producer Paul Starke was with Caroline Rhea. Priscilla Taussig joins as coordinating producer, and Leslie Peirez and Brooke Kalcik will be associate producers.

Maury Makes the Upgrade

Universal's talk show Maury has received upgrades in 32 markets since January, with 18 stations moving the show to early-fringe time slots. The five-year-old show has seen strong ratings this year, increasing 3% in households season-to-date through March 16. The show also has jumped in key demographics, increasing 14% in women 18-34, 10% in women 18-49 and 11% in women 25-54.

NBC Enterprises Taps Wussler

Rob Wussler was named vice president of Midwest sales for NBC Enterprises, said Barry Wallach, NBC Enterprises' executive vice president, last Tuesday. Wussler will oversee NBC Enterprises' Chicago office, including local TV sales in more than 70 Midwest markets and all national station-group sales that originate in the Midwest. Wussler joins NBC Enterprises from Paramount, where he spent 10 years and most recently was vice president/Western regional manager.
