Sister of Man Featured on Dateline's To Catch a Predator Retains Legal Representation

The sister of a former Texas prosecutor who killed himself after being caught in a pedophile sting orchestrated by Texas authorities and Dateline’s To Catch a Predator has retained legal representation.
Louis "Bill" Conradt, Jr. shot himself last November when police came to arrest him for soliciting sex from someone he believed to be a 13-year-old boy.
A crew from NBC’s Dateline was outside Conradt’s north Texas home at the time.
In a letter of representation sent to NBC Universal CEO Jeff Zucker, Patricia Conradt’s lawyer Bruce Baron, of Baron Associates in Brooklyn, NY, asserts that Patricia Conradt can "successfully pursue… several causes of action against" NBC Universal, including "wrongful death, as well as violation of the decedent’s civil and constitutional rights, extreme emotional distress, conscious pain and suffering, and pecuniary loss to the decedent’s estate, in compensatory and punitive damages exceeding $100 million."
NBC News representatives have repeatedly denied any responsibility in Conradt’s suicide, pointing out that there is no evidence to suggest that Conradt knew that Dateline cameras were there.
"There has been no lawsuit filed on behalf of Mr. Conradt's estate," said an NBC News in a statement. "If a suit is filed, we will defend ourselves vigorously, as we believe the claims are completely without merit."

Like most on here, beside the idiot who actually believes a perverted, sicko''s, rights were violated, I believe justice was served. He knew right from wrong, and he did everyone a favor by killing himself. Nothing worse than having someone as guity as he was, being a burden on society, by taking up space in a jail cell. Too bad his sister isn''t as dumb and off herself too, for trying to make money on her loser, brother''s death. If I were NBC, I''d spend 200 million defending Dateline, to make sure she doesn''t see a penny. And hit her with such a counter-suit, that she''d be broke for the rest of her life.

In reference to the "expert on these topics" and to Scott, sorry but I don't agree. I'm now an adult that was molested as a child and I'm sick and tired of the pedophiles getting off so easy. To Catch a Predator is a wake up call to Americans. It's only getting worse and our judicial system better start keeping their butts in their for longer terms. They only come out and repeat or kill the next time. I have no sympathy for the man who shot hisself, that's one less to hurt another child. And his family needs to own up to what his problem was and wonder what other children he may or may not have encountered.

Dateline didnt kill him he dediced to kill himself. He knew that what he did was wrong and if it wasnt for dateline posting this sick people on camera then they would still be assaulting minors. Dateline does more to fight this kind of people that some of our government officials. One less pervert off the streets ...if he wouldnt have killed himself then he probably would have got out of jail in six months and would have tried to lure another minor to have relations with him. I am happy he did what he did. We only need to thank him for doing society a favor by killing himself.

It is every man's god given right to shoot himself in the head. If anyone thinks he committed suicide because he was innocent of his crime, then they are an idiot.
He took the cowards way out and killed himself, rather than to be shamed on TV. Was Chris Hansen and Perverted Justice responsible for his death? Hell no!
He pulled the trigger, not them. Everyone person on this earth has choices. Obviously, all his choices were bad. To sue anyone for his death is ludicrous.
He knew what he had done, but did not want to face the authorities and killed himself. End of story.
His family should be glad he is not out there perverting on minors now. I would even bet they knew of his problem to some degree. Where were they when he needed help? How easy it is to throw up a lawsuit against a huge company. hoping to get rich from someone problems, once they have passed and are out of the picture.
They should mourn the loss of a family member, pray for his soul and move on.
I wish I was on the jury. They wouldn't see a dime.

Pedophiles deserve nothing less than a bullet to the head. Well...maybe serving a little time in the pokey under the gentle care of 'Bubba' so they know how it feels to be raped, violated and attacked, just like they were hoping to do to children, and then a bullet to the head.
So long Bill. We hardly knew ye.
