Comedy Central Promotes Corrao
Named President of Original Programming and Development

Lauren Corrao was named president of original programming and development for Comedy Central.
Corrao has been with the network since 2002 as senior vice president of original programming and development, and she was promoted to executive VP in 2005. During her tenure, she oversaw the development of shows including Reno 911!, The Sarah Silverman Program, Chappelle’s Show and Drawn Together.
"We are currently pacing toward a record-breaking year in prime and on track for our third straight year of ratings growth,” said Doug Herzog, president of the MTV Networks Entertainment Group, in a statement. “Lauren has been the architect of some of our most successful series and has been instrumental in Comedy Central’s phenomenal growth."
Corrao will continue to report to Herzog.
