Vin Di Bona Developing Comics for TV, Film

Invisible Hand Studios to create graphic novels.

Television producer Vin Di Bona is forming Invisible Hand Studios, a studio that will create graphic novels.

Serpo

The studio will produce original properties with the goal of developing them for television and film adaptations.

“I believe the graphic novel presents the most unique and creative entry into the future of both television and film,” Di Bona said in a statement. “With the launch of Invisible Hand Studios, we have the opportunity to ride the crest of what will be the new wave of storytelling.”

The first projects under the Invisible Hand banner will be Serpo, about events leading up to an interplanetary exchange program between Earth and the planet Serpo; D.O.L., about two people who, in the process of collecting overdue library books, accidentally save the world; and The Odd Squad, which Di Bona described as Monk meets The X-Files, in which a motley group reinstates defunct government agency the Office of Dimensional Defense.

Invisible Hand is partnering with Devil’s Due Publishing to release the titles.
