Ohio NBC Affiliates Join Forces for Senate Debate
AARP underwrites, Chuck Todd moderates
By Michael Malone -- Broadcasting & Cable, 9/27/2012 12:06:32 PM
Chuck Todd, NBC White House Correspondent, will moderate, along with a panel comprising local station anchors and reporters.
AARP is underwriting the broadcast.
"AARP Ohio is pleased to underwrite the broadcast of this debate so Ohioans can learn where candidates stand on the issues most important to them," says Jane Taylor, state director for AARP Ohio. "AARP is proud of our 26-year history of providing unbiased information so voters can choose candidates that best fit their values."
Agree. They also need to include the other candidate in the race, Scott Rupert, so ALL the People of Ohio can be fully represented and informed.

WSAZ Charleston/Huntington also needs to be included for this to be a statewide debate. Seven of Ohio's 88 counties are in the Charleston/Huntington television market: Athens, Gallia, Jackson, Lawrence, Meigs, Scioto, and Vinton. In these seven counties, WSAZ is a local station, even though it's from West Virginia, and the only NBC station serving these counties. Northern Kentucky and Southeastern Indiana will be able to watch, but not anyone living in these seven counties in the state of Ohio.
