Dispatch Stations Dark on Dish
Local broadcast powerhouses in Columbus and Indianapolis affected

Dispatch Broadcast stations WBNS Columbus and WTHR Indianapolis are dark for Dish Network subscribers following a retransmission consent disagreement between the two companies. The station sites say negotiations are ongoing.
"We will continue to negotiate in good faith, and thank you for your support," says WBNS site 10tv.com, which suggests viewers get their news and information on the station site or through a digital app.
Dish suggested Dispatch was not negotiating in good faith. "Dish has twice offered an extension to allow us to continue to provide these stations to our customers during the negotiations; however, Dispatch rejected those offers," said the company in a statement. "After Dispatch blocked the stations from Dish customers, Dispatch made contract proposals that they inaccurately describe as extensions. Those proposals included conditions that Dispatch knew Dish could not legally or technically fulfill. In comparison."

Ok then while I am not getting WBNS, which is free over the air, but not free from Dish, I would expect to see my bill lowered some. I figure why should I have to pay for a service that I am not getting? All the new seasons started this week too. Ya, trying to watch live tv while the kids are still up has been real fun...My wife and I are so accustomed to DVR now!!

i bet all the money your tyring to save is costing you by having your trucks in gas money running all over the country taking down you dish just to run into all of direct tv's guys installing theirs... maybe you could negogiate something with them to go ahead and take yours out and save your gas.....I have been with dish for over 20 years and never once thought about swithching, but if it is not turned on by the weekend come monday I will!

I have called Dish Network and they said Dispatch is asking for a 450% increase. If this is true, that is a ridiculous amount and you need to reduce that figure and negotiate in good faith. My local channel,WTHR, has said that the problem is with Dish Network. SOMEONE is NOT telling the truth. All I know is that I want my local channel back on TV; I don't watch shows on my computer or other digital media. Put WTHR back on my TV NOW!!Thank you.

While you are negotiationg please stop the blackout of channel 10. It is possible for you to still have the channel on and negotiate the only thing it is doing is making the customers very upset. I have already sent letters to Dish, and the senator and reps of ohio.
Local channels should never be blocked out!!!!
When other companies in the past have negotiated they still let there customers watch their shows. Please bring it back.
