CBS Television Distribution and Tribune Broadcasting are partnering to develop and distribute a late-night talk show with Arsenio Hall, according to several sources. The show is being developed for a 2013 debut in syndication.Neither CBS nor Tribune would comment.
As of yet, there's no deal in place, although sources say they expect an official announcement next month.
Hall, 56, was named the winner of the fifth edition of NBC's Celebrity Apprentice on May 20. He hosted a hit late-night talk show from 1989 to 1994 that CBS, then Paramount, distributed to TV stations.

Arsenio has continued to build his audience potential even while most folks have not seen him on television.
He is more than ready to return to television full time.
I worked with Operation Fit Kids a project developed with Arnold Schwarzeneggar in the early '90s that brought local sports training and competition to youth in inner cities, and Arsenio was very involved, and his rapport with children then (now adults) was extra-ordinary. Add to this the fact that he is a "ground breaker" in television, and not just for his humor, but also for his mind. He is one of the smartest funny men in America. He is also one of the kindest people you will ever meet.

ARSENIO HALL is synonymous with 'late night television.' His off the cuff delivery style, quick wit and edgy sense of humor, or anything even remotely close, has yet to grace our television screens since his departure in 1994. His comeback is long overdue and much needed! He's still got it; because his talent is innate.

Arsenio's original late-night show was very good in the old days. I remember a lot of CBS affiliates carrying his show after the late local news. This was before Letterman got his current CBS gig, resulting in Arsenio being displaced... Tonight Show already being awarded to Leno, after Carson's retirement... ABC keeping Nightline.

I had a feeling once he won Apprentice, he was going to get a talk show again. I'm thinking CTD will get him, since he is familiar with that group and they did his first talk show 20 years ago. Tribune needs to worry about getting out of bankruptcy first and foremost.

Can't wait to see Arsenio back on TV.
He rocked late night like no one else... and my family tuned into the Celebrity Apprentice just to see him. We were SO glad he won that "game"!
