Will hold news director position
By John Eggerton -- Broadcasting & Cable, 9/14/2009 5:06:26 PM
Forrest Carr, news director at KRQE-TV Albuquerque, has joined KGUN in the same capacity. It is a homecoming for Carr, who was news director at the station from 1997 to 2001 before exiting to join WFLA-TV Tampa as news director.
Carr developed the "On Your Side" viewer advocacy program at the station the first time around, saying he was looking to "rekindle" that effort now that he is returning.

As a long-time Tucson resident, UofA grad in engineering, and a Hughes and Raytheon Missile Systems Engineer in Information Technoloty, one of the few journalists I've enjoyed communicating with in recent Tucson news years is Forrest Carr. I like his common-sense approach to forward-looking journalism and a satiate for truth in it. What I particularly like about Mr. Carr is a willingness to engage and interact with his readers. I don't see any 'ego' here, I see a very interested person in his communities' surroundings and how his news departments can better bring the 'truth' in news to it's readers.

So far, I am not impressed. Forrest Carr seems to have some innovative ideas, but it appears the reputation of his massive ego has indeed followed him. He seems like a lot of hot air, and no substance.
Tried to keep an open mind... but they were right. There's a reason he has been fired from his last 2 jobs. Lets hope it's not a third.
