Dish Looking to Capitalize on Versus/DirecTV Dispute
Satellite operator offering sports network free for three months

Dish said Tuesday that it was offering sports network Versus free to all its customers for three months starting now.
Versus is normally only offered in its Classic Gold 250 and above packages, but will now be offered to all customers.
Versus has been pulled from DirecTV after the two sides could not come to carriage terms.
Dish should clean up its own act.
Subscribers west of the Mississippi lost programming when Dish turned off the 148 degree satellite around the first of August. Now only viewers on the extreme east coast with a sperate 61.5 dish can see the missing channels. There has been no attempt to replace the programming for the rest of the country.
Dish Net customer service reps are either unaware of this programming loss or are reluctant to acknowledge it.
