WNDY, the MyNetworkTV (MNT) half of LIN’s Indianapolis duopoly, selected Scott Evans as The Face of MyNDY. (Related: WDNY to Choose New Station Host from Contest)

Scott Evans, WDNY station hostLIN’s various CW and MNT (and sometimes Fox) affiliates opt for station hosts to represent them both on air and off in an effort to give the station a personality—and a face. Evans, whose hosting experience includes getting crowds riled up at Indiana Pacers basketball games as on-court host, comes out on top after 70,000 online votes, a celebrity panel and interviews with station management.

"Scott has a fresh face and a community minded spirit," said WNDY/WISH President/General Manager Jeff White. "We look forward to using his talents and energy in developing new promotions and getting MyNDY "

Evans’ duties will likely include introducing primetime shows and movies and hosting promotions around the market. He will also be visible on the Web through blogging and hosting chat-room get-togethers. He’ll fill the role for a year, then help select the next Face of MyNDY.

“I’m thrilled to have this opportunity and to explore Indy in a way I never have before,” said Evans.
